Job Description:
The successful candidate will be based in Welcome, NC and help design, refurbish and trouble shoot manufacturing equipment in our 45
facilities. Responsible for working with other Engineers, Project Managers, Machinist and Fabricators to complete Capital projects and increase our plants profitability and equipment reliability. Travels to multiple plant sites throughout the US and Canada. Key Responsibilities Excellent technical and operational knowledge of mechanical systems within manufacturing environments Ability to design/create, read and interpret CAD layouts, parts lists, and part drawings. Ability to interact with the Electrical Engineering Group to design/create machines to support the Greif IPG Group Ability to implement, test new products/machines to achieve desired features and specifications Interface effectively with internal and external customers to ensure project success Interface with all levels of the company and departments to ensure effective communications of new products/machinery for product development and continuing Engineering activities and support Capable of managing Capital Machinery Projects from inception thru startup Understanding and ability to select pneumatic, hydraulic, and other powered components used in machinery. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Strong organizational skills; attention to detail Working knowledge of computer systems and personal computers Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite applications - Work, Excel, Power Point, etc. Education and Experience BSME degree 5
years' experience in Industrial environment Knowledge and Skills Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently or in groups (Team Player) Willing to travel to facilities within the US and Canada up to 25% US Driver's license Ability to specify required mechanical components for new machine design Ability to create AutoCAD/Solidworks mechanical drawings Familiar with OHSA Machine Safety Regulations General tool and die design experience Experience in general machining, fabricating and machine construction Knowledge of electrical components and systems Experience working with Robotic and Automatic Packaging systems
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Industrial Engineering, Mechanical EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
